Welcome to eWSSC!
This tool is probably something you have not seen before, so please make sure to read this little Documentation, check out the Shortcuts and the Settings before you use it.
Sectors are coming from the older Empyrion versions, where the whole universe was built around a centered Sun.
Multi Solar Systems can be seen as cluster, which allows you to put multiple Suns around the universe and inside those "Suns" (Solar Systems) there can be orbits, planets and moons.
The Sun is a special case if you want to make an universe. We also have to differentiate between the auto generated Sun by Empyrion and the Typ: Sun, we can set.
In the old Sectors, if you do not set a Sun, the game generates a Sun automatically - you just don't
see a nice Sun in the universe map ingame. With Alpha 11 you can also add more than 1 Sun to your
universe - even within one Solar System.
Anyways, if you set Type: Sun make sure to set Sun also as Template.
Warp lines in Empyrion are the fundament of your universe. They decide if SVs or CVs can travel through the universe. Some notes:
With Allow / Deny paths you can also set given directions the player should jump.
eWSSC makes use of some auto suggestions based on data available. If you click at a planet and check the Template input field, you see "Barren" for example. Those Templates are the folder names of your Playfields located in your Scenario. To have those auto suggested, just import your whole Playfields folder at the top right or on the Import page

With Alpha 12 randomized Solar Systems got implemented. However in certain situations you want to keep your static designed Universe in place and just add the randomized Solar System "on top" of your static designed Universe. GalaxyMode = true would mean that. GalaxyMode = false does not really exist in your Sectors.yaml because once a Sectors.yaml is found by the game, it will fall back to your static designed universe in any case and don't show any randomized Solar System in the first place.
The Type is very important to decide what Icon should be used and how eWSSC is handling things internally.
Name:ID
Name = Choose a name. For example "Human"
ID = It must start with a 0 and goes up +1 per new Origin.
Example = Human:0
If you want roleplay or immersion on your server, you can set any Origin name you want here. Together with the ID it can then be used for restricted playfields, restricted Instances, restricted Teleporters or restricted Stargates.
The Template is mandatory. It's basically the folder name in your Scenario/Playfields directory.
Note: A Sun has a predefined "Sun" Template you have to type manually.
Pro tip: click on the top right "Import Playfields" button to get auto completion
for your Templates!
For the star models, we support these:
Check the GalaxyConfig.ecf in Content/Configuration for more information.
If you don't want to import any Sectors files and start from scratch, just click on the top green + to create a new Universe and with that a new space journey.
If you want to import your Sectors file, go to the
Note: if you want auto completion for your Templates, also import your Playfields from your Scenario folder.
Done with all of that? Select a playfield at the top. Have fun!
